London's Best Themed Restaurants

London is a major tourist attraction and has a wide variety of exciting things for visitors to spend the day doing. London is jam packed with unusual things to see and do and London’s quirky themed restaurants offer the customer a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Here are a few of our favourite weird and wonderful themed restaurants the capital has to offer.

Rainforest Café

The Rainforest Café, located near Piccadilly Circus in London’s West End, brings any visitor an amazing dining experience that they won’t be forgetting in a hurry. Stepping into an exotic rainforest in the middle of London sounds a little strange but it really works! Each room is themed with a different type of animal ranging from gorillas to butterflies. Customers can gaze at the many pretty fishes that surround them in vast glass tanks as they indulge in international cuisine. Customers can also enjoy an array of drinks at the restaurants bar which is kitted out with funky animal themed barstools.

Inamo

Say goodbye to face-to-face interaction and hello to technology. Inamo, situated on Wardour Street in London, shows how much technology has transformed by its interactive ordering system. Inamo, allows its customers to place their orders via interactive touch screens; these screens allow you to watch the chef making your food with their ‘chef cam’ and they even have a button that calls you a cab! This oriental styled restaurant will leave you wanting more!

Dans le Noir

Dans le Noir is located in Clerkenwell Green, London and accommodates up to 60 people. Dans le Noir is definitely a restaurant for the brave as not knowing what you’re eating and how you’re eating it is rather scary. A lit bar and lounge are the only areas in this restaurant that contain light. As soon as you go to your table and for the duration of your dining experience you are in complete darkness. You’re waited on by blind or partially sighted waiters and waitresses and are supplied with 4 menus to choose from: Meat, Fish, Vegetarian and The Chef’s Special; when you’ve finished and struggled back to the bar area you then find out what you actually ate.

If you’re a dare devil and up for a laugh, this restaurant is for you!

Shaka Zulu

You’ll find this stunning restaurant on Stables Market, Chalk Farm Road, London. Shaka Zulu is a lounge, restaurant and club all in one. Shaka Zulu is the biggest and best South African restaurant in London which many people flock to yearly. The interior design in this restaurant is amazing; with its bronze warrior statues and Aztec design on all the tables and chairs you really get a taste of South Africa.

The exotic cuisine is glorious so if you like food such as smoked chicken, wild boar and ribs this restaurant is definitely for you!

Silk

Situated on the ground floor of a hotel on Great Marlborough Street, London, an old transformed Magistrates Courthouse is the new Silk. Silk restaurant still has all the wooden furnishing from the former courthouse and even contains the witness box which the likes of John Lennon and Mick Jagger stood in many years ago on trial.

Silk is a Michelin recommended restaurant so if you’re into top quality food and dining then this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The glorious Asian cuisine is bound to get your tastes buds tingling with its fusions of ginger, coconut and various spices.
