Buy a gift card

Where can I buy a Restaurant Choice gift card?
You can purchase a Restaurant Choice gift card online here and in over 10,000 restaurants nationwide, that can be found here.
Can I buy a Restaurant Choice gift card via telephone?
No. You cannot place an order via telephone. You can only place an order online, or buy a gift card in store.
Can I return my Restaurant Choice gift card to the store?
If you bought a Restaurant Choice gift card in store the return policy of that store is applicable.

Placing an order

How do I order a Restaurant Choice gift card?
Click ‘Buy online’ and choose the number of gift cards and the value you wish to load on the gift card. Choose the ‘Gift’ option if you are sending the gift card as a gift. Spoiling yourself or do you wish to receive the gift card at your own home, then use the ‘Self use’ option.
Can I add a personal message to my order?
Yes, enter your gift message, select the option ‘Gift’, fill out all the information and the personal message will be shown on the gift wallet that comes with the delivery of the gift card. This way the recipient knows who to thank for his/her gift!
Can I place an order from outside the UK?
You can place an order from outside the UK as long as you pay with an UK issued VISA or Mastercard, and the shipping address is located in the UK.
What kind of payment methods do you accept?
You can pay for your online order with a VISA or Mastercard credit card. Please note that only credit cards issued in the UK are accepted for payment. All orders need to be prepaid. You cannot order gift cards on credit.
Do I receive an order confirmation after placing my order?
Yes, within 30 minutes after placing the order you receive an order confirmation by e-mail. If you have not received an order confirmation after few minutes, please contact us.
Can I send the order to a different address?
Yes, when placing the order, please select ‘Gift’ and enter the recipient’s information below your own personal information.
Do I receive a VAT invoice after placing an order?
No. You only receive an order confirmation. If you wish to receive a VAT invoice, please contact us with your Order number that can be found in your order confirmation.

Do you ship to addresses outside the UK?
No. Orders can only be shipped to addresses within the UK.
What shipping methods do you offer?
Orders placed before 3pm Monday-Friday will be processed the same working day. Orders placed after 3pm Monday-Friday or in weekends will be processed the next working day. Please note, we are relying on Royal Mail for the delivery of the orders.

During busy periods, such as the holidays, delivery of your order may take longer. This will be mentioned on the website.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

Using your gift card

Where to spend and on what

Where can I spend my Restaurant Choice gift card?
Restaurant Choice gift cards can be spent in a selection of popular dining chains across the UK, such as Pizza Hut Restaurants, Nando’s, Pizza Express, Yo!Sushi, Café Rouge, Ask Italian, Zizzi, Jamie’s Italian and The Real Greek. Please note that this list is subject to change.

Can I spend my gift card in restaurants that are not shown on the website?
No. Restaurant Choice gift card can only be spent in restaurants that are shown on the website. If a restaurant of one of the participating chains is not on the website, please contact us with the name and location of the restaurant.
What can I spend my gift card on?
Your gift card can be spent on all food and all drinks including soft drinks, alcohol, set menus and a la carte menus in the restaurant.
Can I use my gift card to pay online for takeout meals?
No, you can only use your gift card to pay for the bill in the restaurant.
Can I use my gift card to pay for tips?
No, you cannot pay for tips. The total amount might be higher than the actual balance on the gift card.
Can my gift card be used in combination with other promotions or discounts?
No.Restaurant Choice gift card cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or discounts.
My card got declined in the restaurant
When you card is getting declined in the restaurant, then please make sure that the card is being processed as a regular MasterCard, not as a regular gift card. Please note, some of  Restaurant Choice gift cards have two mag stripes, please make sure that the upper (thicker) mag stripe is being used for redemption.
Has the card been processed correctly but it still got declined?
Do you have sufficient balance on the gift card? Make sure that the transaction is not higher than the active balance on the gift card. You can check the balance via our balance checker online or you can call the balance inquiry line via 0121 260 2849.

Please note, some of Restaurant Choice gift cards have two mag stripes, please make sure that the upper (thicker) mag stripe is being used for redemption.
 

Paying with your giftcard

How can I use my gift card for payment?
When paying the bill, present the gift card to the restaurant staff and let them know what amount you wish to pay for with your gift card. You can choose to either pay the full amount of the bill with your gift card (if the balance is sufficient), or split the payment between your gift card and other payment method.
Do I need to spend my gift card at once?
No. You can use your gift card multiple times, as long as the card is valid for and the balance on your card is sufficient. If the payment amount is less than the gift card amount, the remaining balance will stay on your gift card as long as it is valid for.
Can I spend my gift card at any time?
Yes, your gift card can be spent at any time as long as your gift card is valid and has a positive balance. However, we recommend to always make a reservation to avoid disappointment.

Issues with payment

My gift card did not work in the restaurant, what can I do?
Please note your gift card must be processed as a MasterCard, not as a gift card. Please check with the staff if they have used the correct method of processing. If your gift card still does not work, please contact us with the restaurant details, details of your visit and gift card number for assistance.
The restaurant would not accept my gift card, what should I do?
All restaurants presented on our website here accept Restaurant Choice gift card as method of payment. If one of these restaurants refused to accept your gift card, please contact us with your card details, and the name and location of the restaurant so we can assist.

If the restaurant where you tried to spend your gift card is not presented on our website, they do not accept the gift card and there is unfortunately nothing we can do.
 
The restaurant charged too much on my gift card, what can I do?
If it seems that the restaurant has charged you too much, then please contact the restaurant with the payment receipt. Are you not sure, then please contact our Customer Service department as they will look into the card history.
 

Balance and validity

How can I check the balance on my Restaurant Choice gift card?
Please click here to check the balance of your gift card. Alternatively, you can dial the Balance enquiry line of which the number is printed on the back of your gift card (0330 123 3471).
How long is my Restaurant Choice gift card valid for?
Your gift card is valid for one year from date of purchase. Please note that the date of purchase can be different from the date you have received the gift card. Therefore, you should always check your balance and validity online by clicking here.

Expired cards

My gift card has expired, what can I do?
Once your gift card has expired it can no longer be used. Restaurant Choice offers a grace period of 3 months after expiration of your gift card. To apply for a new gift card, please contact us with your gift card number and request for a new gift card. An administrative fee of £6.95 is charged to replace your gift card.
You will receive your new gift card within 14 days after we have received payment of the administrative fee. Your new gift card will again be valid for 12 months. Please click here for the full terms & conditions.

Invalid cards

How can I activate my gift card?
Gift cards are automatically activated at the point of sale: this is either in-store, online, or via a reward or benefit scheme. You do not have to take any actions to activate the card yourself. If your card appears to be inactive, please refer to where has the card been purchased, contact either Customer Service department bought online, the store as it has not been activated in store (with receipt) or the benefit/reward scheme you received the gift card from.
My gift card is invalid, what can I do?
Gift cards are activated at the point of sale: this is either in-store, online, or via a reward or benefit scheme. If your gift card is invalid this often means that the merchant has not properly activated the card. Depending on where the card was purchased, we advise you to take the following actions:
 
  • If the gift card was bought in store, please go back to the store with your gift card and sales receipt to have it activated. Without a receipt, the store cannot activate your card.
  • If your gift card was bought online, please email us with your card number and order number and we will assist in activating your card.
  • If you have received your card through a reward or benefit scheme, please email us with your card number and order number so we can assist you.
  • If you do not know where your card was purchased, please contact the person who gave you the gift card and ask them if they have proof of purchase.

Lost/Stolen

My gift card was lost/stolen, can you replace it?
Unfortunately, no. As the gift card is not personal, it cannot be replaced when lost or stolen.
